After our great session we cleansed our palate before heading to three of the Okanagan region’s best wineries: Mission Hill, Rollingdale Winery, and Quail’s Gate Vineyard. Our first stop at Mission Hill did not disappoint, as the vineyard is perched atop a mountain side and overlooks absolutely stunning views of the Okanagan Lake. After Mission Hill we headed to a winery that was quaint where Mission Hill was grand. The Rollingdale Winery is a small organic winery that operates their tasting rooms out of a small garage. What this winery lacks in scale it makes up for in taste, as the winemaker poured plenty of tasting glasses for us to try that left everyone wanting more. This favorite winery won’t be forgotten soon, as many bottles left with us after our tasting to be sipped at a later occasion. After Rollingdale we headed to our last Vineyard for the day, Quail’s Gate, where we sampled some of BC’s best and had a beautiful dinner on the patio overlooking the vineyards and the lake beyond – a perfect day spent with some of Canada’s best wines and lots of Okanagan sunshine.
Heading back to Kelowna the night ended with everyone getting chips to hit the Lake City Casino and try their luck (or skill!) at the slot machines, table games, and brand new poker tables. Tomorrow’s Out of Bounds adventure looks to be just as promising as today’s, as we hit the Okanagan Lake for some House Boating and Water Sports!
